The German School of Fremont
A Saturday Language School for Children and Adults

Learning a Key Language expands  opportunities

In a world that is becoming increasingly interconnected what can you do for your child to provide a competitive advantage outside the curriculum offered by the public education system?

Being conversant in another key language and knowledgeable about other cultures are important ingredients for success in commerce and science both of which rely on international interaction.

The German language has been and will be a key language in science, business, and the arts. Enrolling your child in our language classes early on will open the doors to opportunities later in life and enhance your child's future.

The German School of Fremont offers four levels of children classes, and four levels of adult classes. The minimum age for enrollment is 3 years (children need to be fully potty-trained).

Class Scheduling

Classes are held every Saturday from 9:30 am to 12:00 noon during semesters.

Please consult the schedule page for specifics.

Teaching Methods

The school uses current German textbooks designed to capture and keep the student’s interest while employing conversation and grammar techniques.

In the current school year, we use Passwort Deutsch, vol. 1 to 5 (Klett), in our adult classes A1 to A4. We use the Lesefibel as well as Das neue Deutschmobil in our children's classes C2 to C4. Instruction is made lively through print, audio, and video materials from many sources.

German is spoken in the classroom as much as possible. A high quality of instruction is ensured by teachers with an exceptional knowledge of German and proven teaching ability. All instructors are natives of one of the German-speaking countries or have lived in Germany for many years.
